The figure of Tanit has a special place in them. Her influence as the goddess of Ibiza can be seen in various aspects of the island’s culture, history and spiritual practices.<\/span><\/p>\n

Who is Tanit?<\/strong><\/h6>\n

The presence of Tanit, whose name means “Lady of the Lands”<\/strong>. <\/span>dates back to ancient times, when the Phoenicians established colonies in the region. The colonists brought with them their religious beliefs and rituals<\/strong>, such as the worship of the Tanit. Over time, this deity became important in Ibizan culture<\/strong>, being worshipped in ceremonies and rituals that celebrated the fertility of the land and the protection of the community.<\/span><\/p>\n

Her connection with Ibiza<\/strong><\/h6>\n

One of the most outstanding links between Tanit and Ibiza is the imposing islet of Es Vedr\u00e1.<\/strong> Es Vedra is believed to have been a sacred site associated with the worship of Tanit, playing a key role in religious ceremonies and fertility rituals.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Cueva d’es Culleram<\/strong>, in the north of the island, is also of interest to spiritual seekers. This ancient temple, known to have been dedicated to the goddess Tanit, was discovered in 1907 and is said to have been used for religious ceremonies and worship<\/strong>. Inside, various offerings have been found, as well as human and animal remains.<\/p>\n
